Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA)
WHEDA works closely with lenders, developers, local government, nonprofits, community groups and others to implement its low-cost financing programs. Since 1972, WHEDA has financed more than 73,000 affordable rental units, helped more than 125,800 families purchase a home and made more than 29,000 small business and agricultural loan guarantees.
WHEDA’s mission is to stimulate the state’s economy and improve the quality of life for Wisconsin residents by providing affordable housing and business financing products.

The Small Business Development Center in Southwest Wisconsin helps entrepreneurs succeed at any stage. We offer no-cost, confidential consulting and business education across a wide region, primarily serving Crawford, Grant, Green, Iowa, Lafayette and Richland counties.
Small Business Administration (SBA)
The SBA provides tools to plan, launch manage and grow your business in Southwest Wisconsin. They provide expertise through Regional Economic Development, SCORE, SBDC, Women’s Business Centers (WBC) along with other programs and virtual tools.
SCORE
SCORE is the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, with more than 10,000 volunteers in 300 chapters.
As a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), SCORE has helped more than 10 million entrepreneurs through mentoring, workshops and educational resources since 1964.
Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation
At the Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation, we start with your dream. A dream of owning a business… or growing a business… or creating jobs for yourself and others.
To that we add our expertise in business planning, financing, and accessing resources that will assist you in making that dream a reality.
As a statewide organization, WWBIC works with both women and men by offering relevant business classes, business loans up to $250,000, assistance with your personal financial management, and connections to people who can make things happen.
Lafayette Development Corporation (LDC)
The Lafayette Development Corporation is made up of stakeholders from each municipality in Lafayette County. The Lafayette Development Corporation assists the communities of Lafayette County in their efforts to retain current businesses, including agricultural, and to promote the development of new business and industry, while enhancing the quality of life for residents.
